Germany.

Morning
arrival in Düsseldorf. Transfer to our deluxe motor coach and travel south pass
Bonn, Bethoven’s birthplace to Cologne where we visit
the magnificent Gothic Cathedral. Continue to Frankfurt
area for our dinner and overnight.

A
morning drive takes us to Ruedensheim where we embark on a relaxing Rhine Cruise.
Our cruise end in St Goar from where we continue to Heidelberg
for our walking tour in the courtyards of the castle, which dominates the university city of the
“Student Prince” fame. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Traveling
south through the elegant city of Baden
Baden famous for its spa and casino. Finally we arrive
in the hills of the Black Forest to stop at Lake Titisee
famous for its cuckoo clocks. Dinner and overnight.

the Black Forest region to Southern Bavaria.
Drive around Western Europe’s largest lake the Bodensee,
Lake Constance Dinner and overnight in the area.

Next
we continue on to view Neuschwanstein to see “Mad King Ludwig’s” fairytale castle.
Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Morning
departure to the beautiful scenic village
of Oberammergau where
we devote our afternoon and evening attending the famous Passion Play. In
1634 the Black Death decimated Europe’s
population. Oberammergau
remained untouched until a homesick villagers returned one night, unknowingly
bringing with him the dreaded plague. Almost 100 villagers died as a result.
Frightened survivors vowed that if God saved them from the plague, once every
10 years they would re-enact the agony and crucifixion of Christ. From then
on there we no further deaths from the plague. The villagers have fulfilled
their pledge ever since. The play portrays the Passion of Christ – from the
entry into Jerusalem
to the Resurrection. Lunch and dinner are served tonight.

Today
after breakfast we are off to Austria
and the city of Salzburg
where spires and domes are overlooked by the fortress of Hohensalzburg. En
route visit the 10th century Shrine of Our Lady of Altotting. On
arrival our walking tour explores the city that is in “The Sound of Music”
and which is best known as Mozart’s birthplace. We will admire the Domplatz
the baroque square dominated by its cathedral. Some free time to stroll in
the city center then on tour our hotel for dinner and overnight.

From
Salzburg we
travel to the famous Shrine of Mariazell in the mountains. The shrine dates
back to the 9th century. After our visit we overnight in a small town of St Poelten.

From
St Poelten we travel to Innsbruck.
En route visit the Monastery of Melk. Dinner and overnight in Innsbruck where we admire the Golden Roof and Hofburg Palace.

On
through incomparable scenery to Switzerland
we approach the fashionable winter sports resort of St Moritz. Continue to the shrine of
Einsiedeln for dinner and overnight.

Full
day in Einsiedeln. Time for visiting the shrine and individual prayers.

From
Einsiedeld we travel to Lucerne where our
orientation tour takes us past the Musegg
Towers and walls of the old town to
the Chapel Bridge
and Lion Monument. We continue to Zurich for our last
dinner and overnight.

This
morning we depart to the airport of Zurich and fly back to Canada.
